Herculaneum, Wine Tasting and Pompeii Ruins

9:30AM | Arrive at Herculaneum and Tour

Your first chance of adventure awaits as you arrive at the ruins of Herculaneum, named after the Greek mythical God Hercules. This once bright and vibrant city was initially hit by a very bad earthquake in 62 AD, soon after the tragic eruption of Mount Vesuvius happened in 79 AD, destroying all that was left of the Roman City. This unforgettable tasting experience begins with a guided walk through the vineyards located on the slops of Mount Vesuvius overlooking the Bay of Naples, Sorrento and the Island of Capri. After the walk you can enjoy a homemade lunch with local products which includes an appetiser, Spaghetti with Piennolo’s tomatoes (local cherry tomatoes that only grown in the land by the Vesuvius) and sauce, bread with fresh olive oil and a traditional dessert, Pastiera Napoletana. You will also have the opportunity to taste a variety of local and high quality wines produced in this very winery perfectly paired alongside each of the courses. After spending two hours here, adventure awaits as it’s now time to move onto the second part of the day.
