This unique Luxury Family Holiday Apartment is located in a modern and elegant building in the heart of Sorrento, Italy. In this project by local Italian architects and Design Studio, Coluccio Architetti, the focus was to enhance all interior spaces by prioritising the use of original furniture and using fabrics and wallpapers with core colours and textures. The colour that acts as a leitmotif is Grey. It is taken from the pearl of the certified natural resin floor to that of the wallpapers by Livio di Simone, a famous eco-sustainable company of hand-painted fabrics. De Simone’s wallpapers, designed and handcrafted, guarantee unique and unrepeatable shapes. The contrast between Grey, Green and Blue, creates interesting and harmonious textures. Master Bedroom
The Master Bedroom features two styles of Livio de Simone wallpapers, ‘Rete’ and ‘More’ both with a grey background and made of non woven polyester. The first can be found behind the bed, creating a feature wall and was chosen for the abstract hue and to reference the white colour that is displayed in the headboard. The second is found on the wall where the Jacuzzi Hot Tub is positioned. To ensure a unique and luxurious service to the guests, the designers decided to in-corporate a Jacuzzi Hot Tub with Hydromassage features, creating a corner of relaxation in the bedroom and an added bonus for your Luxury escape. The Hot Tub is incorporated in a natural wood structure, all encased by a light structure with 1 Watt spotlights with warm light positioned above the Hot Tub to create a calming and soft atmosphere. The use of natural wood in contrast to a cold grey pavement creates a combination of two materials that are so different but compliment each other at the same time. Livio de Simones iconic and unique prints, ‘Map’, has been incorporated once again within the bedding, the two feature pillow cases and bed sheets feature the core colours of Green and Blue and have been handpainted on Cotton fabric to create a one of a kind design. The two bedside tables are custom made made of Oak wood and feature just above an artemide tolomeo reading lamp, the chandelier above the bed is the lollo suspension by slamp – a tribute to the classic 50’s where cylindrical elements alternate with geometric shapes.

Superior Bedroom
The Superior Room also features a combination of Livio de Simone Patterns and Prints, behind the bed a feature wall has been created with the ‘Spike’ wallpaper again enhancing the grey undertones of the core colours of this design project. The two bedside tables are custom made using Oak wood and both feature artemide tolomeo reading lamps on each side of the bed, and above the bed the lollo suspension Chandelier by slamp is showcased once again. Livio de Simone ‘Map’ Fabric has also been used in the two feature cushions and bedsheets and on the headboard, the ‘Giovinezza’ print can be found. In front of the bed, at a height of 80cm, a custom made shelf has been set up which acts as a plasterboard desk and has an extra glossy Grey glass on top, which guarantees high transparency.

Luxury Bathrooms
This Design Apartment is Sorrento also includes two luxurious bathrooms, covered with resin and specifically two bands of colours, a lighter grey and a darker grey to create two overlapping levels. Both bathrooms include a large glass shower, one of those also including a Chromotherapy Light feature. As far as comfort is concerned, nothing has been left to chance, from the latest generation of air conditioners to sustainable Schuco frames that guarantee thermal and acoustic insulation.

Stylish Living Room
The Large and Spacious Living Area has been designed with the Open Plan concept in mind. Livio de Simone ‘Pettine’ Wallpaper has been used to create a feature wall on the back wall of the room, futher enhancing the Grey and Blue core colours which recall the colour of the cotton-linen sofas. These two colours have been used throughout and characterise the living room as well as the kitchen. The Living Room is completed with custom made furniture, in natural wood and lacquered in the same strong blue that makes it a leitmotif throughout the whole living environment. Even the tableware and dishes feature the colours of the fabrics and wallpapers, again by Livio de Simone. In regards t0 lighting, two spherical shaped wall lamps by Flos have been used and above the dining table, a stainless steel suspension lamp can be found, also by Flos. In the kitchen a plasterboard structure has been used, in all grey but with a blue lacquered door and drawer to give a unique design look.

Showcased throughout this Luxury Holiday Apartment in Italy are a combination of Prints and Patterns by Livio di Simone, a famous eco-sustainable company known for their hand-painted fabrics. In each of the bedrooms and living room you will find the Wallpapers displayed throughout, as well as on the Bed Sheets and Cushions. In each of the Bedrooms and Living Room attention to detail can be seen when it comes to the lighting, Flos and Slamp light features have been used to give an elegant and stylish feel to the spaces.
