Our Top Tips
- Most restaurants in Sorrento serve meals all day long if you’d like to enjoy a late lunch or early dinner. However, typically lunch is usually served from 12:30pm – 3:00pm and Dinner from 7:30pm – 11pm, and in the summer often much later.
- During the busy summer months, we would reccomend to reserve a table in advance, at least a day or two before to ensure you secure your table.
- If you’re wanting to try Traditional and Authentic Local Italian Cuisine, avoid the typical tourist traps which are usually the restaurants with lots of staff standing outside wanting to get your attention.

As well as being a representation of traditional Italian cuisine in Sorrento, this restaurant showcases a stunning and authentic atmosphere where you can eat divinely in a movie like set. Pizzeria Da Franco
Considered the best pizza in town, Pizzeria da Franco is located on the famous road of Corso Italia. A great place to visit for families and groups of friends, the food is great quality and very resonably priced. As well as the classic pizzas there are also a few seasonal pizzas and there are also Vegetarian friendly options. The Pizzeria is Smart Casual, so a great place to stop for lunch or dinner while passing through the town or on your way back to your accommodation.
La Cantinaccia del Popolo
The number one place to visit if you’re wanting to eat like a local, this restaurant is loved by the people of Sorrento and is a great choice for authentic Italian dishes. Set in a rustic and old school atmosphere, the tables and chairs are all wooden with colourful tablecloths and there are also the classic garlic and cured hams hanging from the ceiling. La Cantinaccia del Popolo has great pasta dishes, charcuterie platters, and cheeses at affordable prices. To add that extra touch of authenticity and old school style, most pasta dishes are served directly to you in the pan.
Trattoria Da Emilia
Located in the colourful and picturesque fishing village of Marina Grande, right on the edge of the bay you will find one of the most amazing places to taste the best seafood. Trattoria Da Emilia is a local family restaurant and one of the most historic authentic restaurants on the Marina. Here you can enjoy great quality organic food, locally grown and sourced at reasonable prices and waterfront restaurants with a buzzing atmosphere. We recommend you trying the Pasta with Clams and friend local fish. On weekends and especially during the Summer, evenings are very busy for dinner, the atmosphere is magical and great for spending quality time as a family, friend group or couple.

Also located in the Fisherman’s Village of Marina Grande, Soul and Fish is another great sea front restaurant overlooking the small beach & harbour. It serves the best of local fish and seafood also catering to those with food allergies, intolerances or preferences such as Gluten Free, Vegan and Vegetarian. With its chic, stylish interior and welcoming atmosphere, it’s a great place to enjoy a meal with your family, partner or friends.
